About this course
The course on risk management provides a comprehensive overview of the principles and practices required to identify, analyse, respond to and monitor risks in project management. It begins with an introduction to fundamental risk concepts, including the distinction between positive and negative risks, levels of project risk and the importance of risk management within project management. Participants will learn about the key components of risk management, including risk registers and reports, risk categorisation and related terminology. The course covers strategic planning for risk management, including factors that influence risk and the inputs required to develop a risk management plan. It also covers techniques for identifying risks and updating risk registers, as well as qualitative and quantitative risk analysis methods. Finally, it addresses risk response strategies, implementation and monitoring and control processes to ensure project objectives are achieved. Overall, the course equips participants with the tools and knowledge required to manage project risks effectively.
